What is CyLynk?

CyLynk is a cybersecurity training and job-readiness organisation. We provide practical learning, coaching and mentorship, certifications, and career support to help you break into or grow in the cybersecurity industry — whether you're just starting out or upskilling for your next role.

Do I need any experience to enrol?

No experience? No problem. Many of our learners are complete beginners or changing careers. Our training is structured to meet you where you're at and guide you step by step.

I don't have a tech background — can I still succeed in cybersecurity?

Absolutely. Many of our learners come from non-tech fields like teaching, architecture and events. If you're willing to learn, we'll help you build the skills and confidence to succeed.

What's the difference between a course, certification, and a job ready track?

Courses teach specific skills and include hands-on practice and a certificate of completion.
Certifications are industry-recognised qualifications with optional training and exam vouchers.
Job ready tracks are full pathways designed to take you from beginning to job-ready, with coaching, certifications, and a job guarantee or your money back (T&Cs apply).

How do I know which option is right for me?

It depends on your goals. If you're exploring, start with a short course. If you want credentials, go for a certification. If you're serious about a career change or advancing within cybersecurity, our job ready tracks offer structured guidance to land your target role.

How do I enrol?

For courses, click “Buy This Course” to get started.
For certifications, choose your preferred path (e.g. CertifyBasic, CertifyPlus, or CertifyMaster), then select “Buy.”
For job ready tracks, start by booking a free strategy session and we'll build a personalised learning plan before you enrol.

Can I talk to someone about my goals before signing up?

Absolutely — if you're interested in a Job Ready Track, we offer a free strategy session to map out the right path for your career. For other enquiries, you can contact us anytime for guidance.

Is everything online?

Yes. All our training is 100% online and accessible from anywhere, on your own schedule. All you need is a computer, internet access, and a willingness to learn.

Can I do a CyLynk course or certification while studying at uni or working full-time?

Yes. Most learners study part-time alongside work, uni, or family responsibilities. Everything is self-paced, with optional support when you need it.

What's included in a CyLynk Job Ready Track?

CyLynk job ready tracks include a personalised learning plan, hands-on labs, industry certifications, regular group mentorship, private coaching, and a job guarantee. Our Job Ready Tracks also function as technical learning internships, ensuring you can demonstrate real-world experience during job applications.

How does the job guarantee work?

If you complete all required activities in a qualifying program and don't land a cybersecurity role within the job search period, we'll refund your program fee. [Please see T&Cs]

What's the difference between mentorship and coaching?

Mentorship offers general guidance and encouragement through group sessions or community support. Coaching is goal-focused and task-specific, helping you maintain consistent progress and accountability whilst accelerating your path to success.

What can I expect from a CyLynk mentor or coach?

You'll receive practical support tailored to your journey: advice, feedback, direction, and encouragement from experienced professionals invested in your success.

How long do job ready tracks take to complete?

You can choose a job-ready track that runs for 6, 12, or 18 months. Your plan is personalised, and most learners move through content at a pace that suits their schedule and goals.

Can I customise my learning plan?

Yes. Every program includes a personalised learning pathway aligned with your background, availability, and career goals.

What certifications do you offer?

We offer CompTIA, Security Blue Team, Linux Professional Institute, and other vendor certifications that build real-world cyber skills.

Do you offer intermediate or advanced certifications?

Yes. We offer mid-level and advanced certifications for those looking to upskill.

Are your certifications recognised internationally?

Yes. We only offer certifications that are well-respected by employers globally.

What's included in a certification with a pass guarantee?

You'll get the course content, labs, certification exam voucher, and dedicated coaching. We ensure you're fully prepared before sitting your exam, and support is available until you pass.

Do I need to buy an exam voucher separately?

Not unless you choose the voucher-only option. Most bundles include the voucher, and our CertifyMaster package includes the exam and extra support.

Yes. We include hands-on labs, practical challenges, and real-world scenarios to help you build job-ready skills.

Will I receive a certificate of completion?

Yes. You'll receive a digital certificate when you complete the course.

How long do I have access to my course?

You'll have access for 12 months unless otherwise stated.

Are courses suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Many of our courses are designed for people with no prior experience — and you'll always see the recommended skill level clearly listed.

Pricing & Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We use Stripe to process payments on our platform. This means you'll have access to all payment options available in your region through Stripe's secure gateway. If additional regional payment methods aren't supported, you can complete your purchase using Visa or Mastercard.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Most job ready tracks can be paid in instalments.

Are refunds available?

We offer refunds for eligible purchases within two weeks of your initial purchase date. If you're not completely satisfied with your learning experience, we'll provide a full refund. We simply ask that you share feedback with us so we can continue improving our platform and better serve our cybersecurity community. Please note that certification vouchers are excluded from our refund policy.

Are any courses free?

Yes, we currently offer one free course for a limited time: Practical Linux CLI Essentials. More free courses are coming soon, so keep an eye out for new releases.

Is CyLynk available in my country?

Yes. CyLynk is accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

What platform do I use to complete my course or certification?

Courses and job ready tracks are delivered through our CyLynk learning portal or through one of our partner platforms where applicable. You'll receive login details after enrolling.

What are the system requirements?

You'll need a computer with internet access and a modern browser. Some labs may require additional specs — these are listed in the course info.

Can I access my course on a phone or tablet?

At this stage our learning platform is not optimised for mobile devices, but can be accessed on tablets with the best performance on a laptop or desktop.

Who do I contact if I have a technical issue?

Is there a community I can join?

Are there live events or sessions?

Yes. We run regular events including webinars, AMAs, live training, and coaching sessions. These can be found on our Events page and are announced in Discord.

Do you offer mentoring or coaching on its own, without a full program?

Yes. Our CertifyMaster packages include mentorship and coaching.
